The countdown is ticking away nicely as St. Patrick’s Day – some are celebrating it on the 14th, some the 15th, and others the 17th. What gives with the weirdness of its falling on Holy Monday? Strange. I hope next year, St. Patrick’s Day 2009 is better. This weekend we head out to Savannah to partake in one of the largest St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in the country. It is estimated to have about 300,000 people there for the party. Sort of like Mardi Gras but a little tamer and the weather is usually nicer in Savannah. Make room for giant smoked turkey legs and Chatham Artillery Punch! And don’t forget to snag a St. Patrick’s Day shirt for the event. Wear it at the St. Patty’s Day parade or on River Street. Basically the application adds an unobtrusive St. Patrick’s Day counter to the left side of your Facebook to remind you when the start of the greatest holiday of the year begins. We also added in a little bonus of the ability to post your videos and photos to the app for others to see. There are lots of great St. Patrick’s Day photos and videos on there already. Well we have finally done it and set ourselves up a blog. Now if only we can stay disciplined enough to contribute to it daily! Basically the purpose of this is to discuss St. Patrick’s Day t-shirts – something near and dear to our heart seeing as that is one thing that we do every spring to help propogate the beautiful concept that is St. Patrick’s Day.
